Public invited to attend and comment

COUPEVILLE, WASH. – The Board of Fire Commissioners for Central Whidbey Island Fire & Rescue will meet to consider a resolution asking voters to approve a bond on the November General Election ballot to remodel a fire station and replace three fire engines. The meetings will take place on June 8 and July 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Station 53, 1164 Race Road in Coupeville (98239).

The bond would cost $0.22 per $1,000 of assessed property value, or approximately $5.50 per month ($66 per year) for the owner of a $300,000 home. Community members are invited to attend and comment on the proposal.
