Fire District offers guided tour of proposed station renovations

Bond funding would be used to improve response times and firefighter health and safety

COUPEVILLE, WASH. – Central Whidbey Island Fire & Rescue Chief Ed Hartin wants to take you on a tour of Station 53 on Race Road in Coupeville. The fire district is considering asking voters to approve a bond on the November General Election ballot to fund station renovations and replace three aging fire engines. The purpose of the tour is to show what renovations would happen to improve response times and firefighter health and safety inside the facility. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the fire district office at (360) 678-3602 to schedule a time to visit. The guided tours take approximately 30 minutes, and are offered: Wednesday, June 21 – 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22 – 6:00 p.m. - 9:00p.m. Saturday, June 24 – 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
