Larry Goff was elected to his first term as commissioner in 2026. Larry started a career in the fire service as a seasonal wildland firefighter right out of high school. Most of his service was with the City of Lake Oswego Fire Department, working up through the ranks to become Fire Chief. Goff was also an elected Board member for Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and served as President of the Oregon Fire District Directors Association. Larry and his wife Shelley have been coming to Whidbey Island to visit family for over 40 years and are very happy to be permanent residents now. Commissioner Goff’s term of office runs through 2031.
